Embeds
When you put an exclamation mark in front of a wiki link, the reference becomes a window. nexlore then shows what's behind it right in that spot.
Showing pictures at the right size
You embed a picture by its file name. A number after a vertical bar sets how many pixels wide it should be.
![[bread.webp|160]]
You embed videos and audio the same way. In the editor you see them straight away, and a click on them shows the text of the embed again.
Showing another note or part of it
You can embed a whole note, a heading with everything below it, or a single paragraph with a block id.
## This week ![[Caring for sourdough#Feeding]]
This week
Morning and evening, always one to one to one: starter, flour, water.
| You write | You see |
|---|---|
![[Note]] | the whole note |
![[Note#Heading]] | the heading and everything up to the next one of the same level |
![[Note#^id]] | the one paragraph or list item with that id |
![[picture.png|300]] | the picture, 300 pixels wide |
Where embeds stop
An embed shows the other note the way you are allowed to read it. If it comes from a space you may not read, it appears as missing. Embeds also only go one level deep, so if the embedded note embeds something itself, that stays a link. A note shows at most twenty embedded notes.
Lore saysOn public pages an embedded note stays a link. That way nothing gets out that you didn't share yourself.
