Properties
At the very top of a note there may be a block between two lines of ---, the so-called front matter. It holds the note's properties in YAML, each one a name, a colon and a value.

Country bread
In the editor the front matter appears as a table with one row per property. When you change a value, nexlore writes back only that one line, and the rest stays as it was.
What kinds of values a property can have

Properties nexlore does something with

Lore saysProperties pay off twice over. Search finds them with [status:open], and in a view every property becomes a column you can change right in the table.
If the front matter isn't clean YAML made of names and values, nexlore simply edits it as text instead of bending anything out of shape.
