Cleaning up
Over time, every collection gathers a few loose ends. Notes that nothing points to are hard to find again, and links without a note behind them lead nowhere. The Clean up page shows you both for one space at a glance.
How to get there
Open Files in the header; on a phone you'll find it in the account menu. Next to the Overview there's the Clean up tab. At the top you pick the space you want to look at, and your browser remembers the choice for next time.
Notes that hang on nothing
Under Notes without a connection you find every note that no link leads to and none leads away from. Open lets you look inside. Quite often such a note has long been named somewhere else, just not as a link. A click on Mentions shows you exactly those places, and Link turns each of them into a wiki link without changing the sentence. After that the note is part of the web of your notes again.
Links with nothing behind them
Under Links to nothing you find every link that names a note or file that isn't there, each with the note and the line it stands in. Go to it opens that note, so you can fix a typo in the link. If the link is right and only the note is still missing, Create makes it, exactly where a click on the link would make it, and opens it for writing straight away. If a file such as a picture is missing, all you can do is go to the place, since nexlore can't make up a file for you.
Both lists show the first 500 entries each. In a space you may only read you see everything but can't create anything there, and places in notes you may only read can't be linked.
Lore saysA link to nothing isn't always a mistake. Many people write [[New idea]] first and make the note later. This is where you find all those reminders gathered in one place.
The same right at the note
You don't have to come to this page for the mentions of a single note. In the Links tab next to every note, the section Unlinked mentions below the backlinks shows the same places with the same button, as described in the chapter Links and backlinks.
